Considered a winemaking family of royalty, the Chave family is one of the oldest names in the wine world, producing some of the world's greatest wines, and have been producing wine since 1481. On their label is inscribed: Vignerons de Pere en Fils Depuis 1481 which translates to vine growers from father to son since 1481. They began cultivating right here on the Saint Joseph appellation, and this is their 'offering' to the patron saint.
