  • Loosen Dr L Riesling
    translation missing: en.products.product.description

Dr. Loosen’s non-estate wine embodies the elegant and racy style of classic Mosel Riesling. It is refreshing and fruity, with a fine mineral edge that is typical of the region. Dr. L Riesling is made with fruit that comes exclusively from traditional vineyards with steep slopes and slate soil. By working closely with local growers on long-term contract, brothers Ernst and Thomas Loosen are able to maintain excellent quality in every vintage.

  • Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rose
    translation missing: en.products.product.description

An unofficial, Burgundy-style classification of the vineyards is used at Villa Wolf, based largely on a vineyard property tax assessment done by the Bavarian government in 1828. Historical accounts of quality and price confirm the first-growth (grand cru) status of the Pechstein vineyard in the village of Forst, and the second-growth (premier cru) Belz vineyard in Wachenheim. The Pfalz is a very warm and sunny region, often called “the Tuscany of Germany,” so all of the Pinot varieties do well here.

  • Wittmann Spatburgunder Rotwein Trocken
    translation missing: en.products.product.description

The Wittmann family has been growing grapes and producing wine in the small Rheinhessen village of Westhofen since 1663. Today, the estate cultivates 62 acres of vines in the rolling limestone hills found in the southern part of the region, just west of the Rhine river valley. They have been pioneers in developing the full-bodied, well-balanced style of dry wines for which the region has become known. And they were early adopters of organic (1990) and biodynamic (2004) viticulture.

Louis Guntrum was established in 1648, and since 2003 has been owned and operated by Louis Konstantin Guntrum, who is the 11th generation of the Guntrum family to make wine. In February 1945, during World War II, U.S.General Patton occupied the winery and the family mansion, having crossed the Rhein river directly at the Louis Guntrum estate. The current generation is focused on producing high-quality wines that are created with passion and rooted in history.
