Partnering with Pete and Jessica Stolpman are vignerons Ruben and Maria Solorzano. The nickname for villagers from Santa Cruz, Jalisco, Maria's hometown, is "Tecolote" - Night Owl. The name stems from the popular late night parties thrown in the town. In addition to this, a resident female Great Horned Owl is the most prolific beast on the vineyard.
