Another exciting Wine on the Water featuring Zolo Wines!
We hope everyone is staying cool when you can as we move into the height of summer! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy last week's Wine on the Water with Banks Wannamaker! We are excited to be traveling to South America this Wednesday for Wine on the Water! Patricia Ortiz now owns the winery, but she and her husband live an hour and a half away from the winery. They are often apart for long stretches at a time. On the label is a depiction of a lone man, which is a representation of Patricia’s husband being alone. They decided to call the wine ‘Solo’ but when it went into production, there was a typo and it came out as Zolo. They liked it anyway and decided to keep the new name!
Zolo is made with grapes from the first zone from the Mendoza River Valley. These wines have a marked fruitiness, spending 8 months in oak, developed with sustainable practices, the wines have ripe tannins, red fresh fruits, giving way to a modern and vibrant wine.
The acclaimed Fabián Valenzuela, a recognized winemaker from Argentina, as well as Jean Claude Berrouet, famous winemaker in Pomerol, who worked for more than 40 years as a leading winemaker of Petrus, France, work hand in hand in order to achieve the greatest expression of the attributes that characterize our wines. "Our commitment, to our customers, is a true experience of the senses, in the fascinating world of wine!"
