Exclusive Rioja Wine Tasting with Special Guest Oscar Rioja

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the bold and beautiful wines of Rioja, Spain, featuring selections from two of the region’s most esteemed wineries: El Coto de Rioja and Barón de Ley. We are thrilled to welcome Oscar Rioja, Brand Ambassador for El Coto de Rioja and Baron de Ley, who will guide us through the tasting and share insights into the rich winemaking traditions of these amazing wineries.

Meet the Wineries

🍷 El Coto de Rioja – Established in 1970, El Coto is one of Rioja’s largest and most well-known wineries. Their wines are known for their approachability, consistency, and exceptional value. With vineyards spread across Rioja, El Coto crafts wines that highlight the balance between fruit expression and traditional aging.

🍷 Barón de Ley – Founded in 1985, Barón de Ley follows a Bordeaux-style château model, producing wines exclusively from estate-grown grapes. Located in a restored 16th-century monastery, the winery specializes in rich, structured, and long-aged wines, capturing the depth and elegance of Rioja’s finest Tempranillo.

Featured Wines

🍷 El Coto de Rioja Crianza – A classic Tempranillo-based Crianza, aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels and additional time in the bottle. It boasts bright cherry and red berry flavors, with hints of vanilla and spice from oak aging. Pairing Suggestions: Perfect with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and cured cheeses.

🍷 El Coto Crianza Ecológico – A certified organic Tempranillo, this wine offers a fresher, fruit-driven profile with notes of blackberry, plum, and subtle spice. Smooth tannins and a lively finish make it a versatile pairing for grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or Mediterranean dishes.

🍷 Barón de Ley Tempranillo – A bold expression of 100% estate-grown Tempranillo, aged in American oak to develop its signature notes of ripe black fruits, cocoa, and sweet spices. A silky texture and well-integrated tannins make this a fantastic match for braised short ribs, paella, or aged Manchego cheese.

🍷 Barón de Ley Reserva – A refined and complex Tempranillo Reserva, aged for 20 months in oak barrels, followed by bottle aging to enhance depth and structure. It features dark cherry, plum, and spice with hints of leather and tobacco. Elegant tannins and a long finish make it an ideal companion for roast lamb, grilled steak, or rich pasta dishes.
