Wine Tasting with Caliche Estate & Milbrandt Vineyards and Special Guests!
Join us for a special tasting wine on Wednesday, May 14, as we highlight two standout Washington wineries: Caliche Estate and Milbrandt Vineyards. This tasting is your chance to explore a fresh range of vibrant whites and bold reds that showcase the diversity and quality of Columbia Valley winemaking. We’re also pleased to welcome two special guests: Nicole Arnold, Winemaker for Ancient Lake Wine Company, and Alexei Khimenko, Regional Sales Manager for Evergreen Family Wines. Nicole and Alexei will be on hand to share their expertise and answer your questions about the wines, vineyards, and winemaking process.
Featured Winery: Caliche Estate
We’ll begin the tasting with wines from Caliche Estate, a rising star located in Washington's Columbia Valley. Known for its volcanic soils and caliche-rich terrain, the estate produces wines that are both expressive and true to their varietal character. Caliche Estate focuses on minimal intervention winemaking, allowing the unique terroir to shine.
Tasting Highlights from Caliche Estate:
- Albariño – Bursting with bright citrus, ripe peach, and a touch of saline minerality, this crisp, refreshing white is perfect for spring sipping.
- Riesling – Aromatic and lively, this wine balances notes of green apple, apricot, and honeysuckle with a clean, vibrant finish.
Also Featuring: Milbrandt Vineyards
Next, we’ll move into the rich reds of Milbrandt Vineyards, one of Washington’s most respected producers. Founded by brothers Butch and Jerry Milbrandt, the winery is known for crafting expressive wines from their estate vineyards, with a focus on approachable structure and fruit-forward appeal.
Tasting Highlights from Milbrandt:
- Brothers Blend – A smooth, fruit-driven red with layers of dark berries, plum, and mocha. A silky texture makes this an easy favorite.
- Merlot – Rich and structured, this Merlot offers black cherry, cocoa, and baking spice notes with balanced tannins and a lingering finish.
Join us to taste and learn about what makes Washington State wines stand out. With both crisp whites and bold reds on offer, there’s something for everyone.
We hope to see you there!
