Tenuta Regaleali ~ A Hidden Viticultural Oasis in the Heart of Sicily

This week we will be tasting wines from Tenuta Regaleali Estate .  Tenuta Regaleali is a renowned wine estate located in the heart of Sicily, Italy. Established in 1830, it is owned and operated by the Tasca d'Almerita family, one of the most prestigious wine-producing families in Italy. The estate spans approximately about 3,000 acres and is situated in the highlands of the Sicilian interior, offering a unique terroir that contributes to the distinctiveness of its wines.

Before moving south to Sicily, we’ll start off with a nice bubbly from a Veneto.  Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco is a crisp and refreshing sparkling wine known for its lively bubbles and bright, fruity flavors. It typically features notes of green apple, pear, and citrus, with a hint of floral aromas. The palate is light and effervescent, making it a delightful choice for celebrations or as an aperitif.

Tenuta Regaleali Le Rose is a vibrant Sicilian rosé that showcases a beautiful pale pink color. It offers a bouquet of fresh red berries, such as strawberry and raspberry, along with delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is dry, crisp, and well-balanced, with a refreshing acidity that makes it perfect for pairing with light dishes or enjoying on a sunny day.

Tenuta Regaleali Buonsenso is an Italian wine that emphasizes good taste and sensibility, reflecting its name which means "good sense." Elegant, fine, with fragrant bouquet of pink grapefruit, yellow peach, green tea, in the mouth it expresses a fresh acidity that makes it long-lasting and rich on the palate

Tenuta Regaleali Lamuri, produced by Tasca d'Almerita, is a red wine made from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes. It is characterized by its rich and robust profile, offering aromas of dark berries, plum, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with velvety tannins and flavors of black cherry, licorice, and a touch of earthy undertones. This wine pairs well with hearty dishes and grilled meats.

Tenuta Regaleali is a symbol of Sicilian viticulture, combining a deep respect for tradition with a forward-thinking approach to winemaking. The estate's dedication to quality, sustainability, and hospitality makes it a standout destination for wine enthusiasts. We hope you'll join us to experience their exceptional wines!
