MARK YOUR CALENDAR ~ Special Wine On The Water Thanksgiving Wine Tasting!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we are looking forward to tasting with you on Wednesday, November 19th from 4:60-6:30. We have put together a lovely little lineup that is geared toward making every holiday gathering memorable without breaking the bank! Whether you are hosting the big day, invited to celebrate with friends and family, or just want to stock your wine rack, we have some true gems for you!

Lucien Albrecht Crémant d’Alsace Brut Rosé

A beautiful dry rosé sparkling from Alsace in Northern France. This bubbly is made in the traditional method, just like your favorite Champagne, but with a more friendly and approachable vibe and price! Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this gem is full of tart red berries, delicate florals and creamy, elegant bubbles. It lends itself to savory and herb-forward dishes, and will manage that cranberry sauce with aplomb!

Beronia Verdejo de Rueda

A crisp and delicious Verdejo from Spain with enough citrus to delight a Sancerre drinker, and enough body to please a Chardonnay lover. This beauty is a must for the holiday!  Aromas of passionfruit, key lime and fennel frond, it is rich and round but ends with a pop of acid and salt that makes the mouth water and keeps you going back for another sip. This Verdejo is built for lean white meats, vegetable dishes, and plays nicely with a range of cheeses.

Stéphane Aviron Beaujolais-Villages

Gamay is always a wonderful option for Thanksgiving as it provides a quaffable and delicious tipple that doesn’t overwhelm lean meat and provides a perfect foil for the exceedingly rich and delicious culinary traditions of the holiday. This wine is produced lovingly from old vines and yields a bright and charming red with aromas of strawberry and spice. Sessionable, yet sincere, and certainly deserving of a place at your celebration!

Francois Labet Pinot Noir Ille de Beaute

This Pinot Noir hails from the wild and rocky island of Corsica. Labet is a well-known producer with a storied family history in Burgundy who loves to experiment and push the boundaries. The grapes are grown at a higher elevation yielding a snappy and floral wine with generosity and tension. It is unmistakably Pinot Noir, but with a decidedly savory and Mediterranean bent. The intensity of dark cherry, Mediterranean herb and taught acidity make this a wonderful companion to Thanksgiving fare and it will impress and delight even the most discerning guest.

We hope you’ll join us for this fun and festive tasting. It’s the perfect chance to discover new favorites, gather inspiration for your holiday table, and enjoy great wine in good company. We can’t wait to share these bottles with you!
