Made in the USA: Wine On The Water Celebrating the Red, White, and Rosé!

Join us on Wednesday, July 2, for Wine On The Water as we celebrate the holiday week with a tasting of American-made wines crafted right here in the USA. Start your July 4 weekend with a lineup of wines that celebrate American craftsmanship and coastal character. Our friend, Tommy Oliver with Grassroots Wine, will be here pouring two standout American wineries—Redolent Wine Co. and Lioco Wines—known for their minimal-intervention style and vineyard-driven approach. These are honest, expressive wines perfect for summer, backyard dinners, and fireworks.

🍷 Redolent Wine Company

Redolent Wine Co., founded by Boyd Pearson and Jon Larson, produces its wines at GC Wines in Amity, Oregon. They focus on minimal-intervention winemaking to let the grapes, site, and vintage shine. Sourcing from organically farmed vineyards, Redolent specializes in elegant, expressive bottlings of unique varietals like Nebbiolo.

Boyd Pearson was born and raised in Charleston, SC, giving this wine a personal local connection you won’t find on many West Coast labels.

  • Rosé of Nebbiolo – A single-vineyard Rosé of Nebbiolo from Waving Tree Vineyard in Washington’s Columbia River Gorge. Light and dry with notes of rose petal, blood orange, and tart strawberry. Crisp and aromatic—perfect for warm summer evenings.

🍷 Lioco Wines – Sonoma & Beyond

LIOCO was founded in 2005 by Kevin O’Connor and Matt Licklider with a mission to create nuanced, site-driven California wines in contrast to the heavy styles of the time. Today, husband-and-wife team Matt and Sara Licklider continue the search for exceptional vineyard sites across California, sourcing fruit from small, family-owned ranches. With no estate vineyards, LIOCO is mapping the state’s most distinctive terroirs one bottle at a time.

  • Sonoma County Chardonnay – A vibrant, unoaked Chardonnay with citrus blossom, white peach, and a touch of salinity. It’s fresh, focused, and far from the heavy-handed styles of the past.
  • Mendicino Pinot Noir – Cool-climate Pinot with lively red fruit, earth, and spice. Silky and structured with depth that sneaks up on you.
  • Indica Red Table Wine  Carignan – From 70+ year-old, dry-farmed vines. Bold, juicy, and rustic with notes of black cherry, smoked herbs, and a hint of funk. A natural with grilled meats and vegetables.

Fresh, smart wines made in the USA—and one of them even has Charleston roots. See you there!
